Christina Aguilera to star in a movie with Katie Holmes

Christina Aguilera is ready to hit the big screen as she has signed on to star in a movie with actress Katie Holmes.

The pair will begin shooting “Humboldt Park” , a family drama film, this February, just weeks after Christina gives birth to her first baby with husband Jordan Bratman.

A source adds: “Holmes is trying to prove she can do more than fluffy popcorn movies”, and starring alongside Aguilera “shows she’s willing to take risks”.

The movie is set to hit theaters in 2009.
